How match score been calculated in World Check API?

Hello,

The endpoint /cases/{caseSystemId}/results allows you to retrieve results, and one of the parameters is the "Matched Score." Could you please provide detailed information on how the matched score is calculated?

Let's consider the example below:

In this case, the matched score of the record is 100%. Is this 100% derived from the similarity between the Client Name and the Name or Matched Alias? If the scoring is based on a match between the Client Name and the Matched Alias, is there a setting that allows us to configure the scoring to be based on a match between the Client Name and the Name?

Appreciate your help. Thanks.

  • Hi @melvin ,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Please access the following link of our Matching Engine User guide 557848.pdf (refinitiv.com) which will have full details about how our matching engine works in the background.

Moreover, We have World check settings where you can configure the Name/Alias Matching Threshold which allows you to control the result set returned by the matching engine. The name match strength is based on how far the match deviates from the original name screened (To configure that please follow below).

Login to WC1 UI--> Admin--> right hand side under World-check section click to edit settings and then you will be landing into the settings page where you can configure the Name matching screening settings.

    Thanks
