Is it required to launch Eikon desktop every time and to use the Eikon Data API using python?

I am getting error code 401 saying Eikon Proxy not running or cannot be reached.

    Hi @donia.augustine,

    Yes, for this desktop API, the Eikon/Workspace desktop has to be running on the local machine.

    There are other enterprise products like Data Platform, which use REST API to get data from cloud.
