RFA 7.6 and Windows Server 2019

We wanted to seek clarification on the API compatibility matrix available on the LSEG website.

https://developers.lseg.com/content/dam/devportal/api-compatibility-matrix.xlsx

Currently, one of our application is currently running with the RFA 7.6.2.4 API on Windows Server 2019. Based on the information provided in the matrix, it appears that the Legacy EOL RFA 7.7 or lower were not certified for use on Windows Server 2019. Could LSEG please explain the implications of this certification status?

Additionally, our RTDS version is now 3.7.1. Given this setup, could you please clarify the potential issues or limitations we might face if we continue using the legacy API (RFA 7.6.2.4 + Windows Server 2019)? Are there any specific enhancements or bug fixes in the legacy API that would address the potential problem (i.e. performance, data issue).

    Hello @dennisauau,

Please see this Product Change Notification about the end of life support of various components including older versions of RFA. There will be no enhancement and bug fixes in the legacy API.

The support for SSL protocol has been removed in the latest versions of RTDS, which means that your legacy RFA application will stop working, when the infrastructure components are updated.

I would recommend that you actively begin the application migration using a much easier EMA API.
