According to this How to get the Chinese company name? old post, you can use "DSPLY_NMLL" field to get the company name in the local language.

Example code:

rd.get_data(
    universe=['LSEG.L','7974.T','0001.HK','352820.KS'],
    fields=['TR.CompanyName','DSPLY_NMLL']
)

Result:

Please note the character decode technical from that old post too.

You can use the Data Library for Python as follows:

Result:

Please note that the version 2 of the Data Library for Python will be rebranded to LSEG Data Library for Python.

I can see "TR.CompanyName" can be displayed in Japanese with Excel formula. Wonder if we can do the same with Eikon API ?
