Elektron SDK or RFA on .Net Core
Given that .NET Core is the Future of .NET, it is cross-platform and fully open-source, can we please get a version of either RFA or the Elektron SDK that targets .net Core?
A proof-of-concept project was done already but there were no plans to take it forward.
We are porting our legacy .Net Framework trading infrastructure over to .Net Core which will allow us to deploy on Linux and container platforms, such as Kubernetes, however we are hamstrung by our market data feed that uses the legacy RFA API. We don't have the option of hiring C++/Java developers as we are a small shop that uses C# (for trading infrastructure) and python (for research).

Hello @m.snelling, The Elektron Websocket API seems to be the only one which can support .NET as it is language agnostic. There are code samples in most programming language, including .NET and Python.
Maybe, this can help in your use case.

@Gurpreet Unfortunately we're processing upwards of 150,000 updates per second and the WebSocket API just won't cut it.

Hi,
I would like to follow up on this question. The comments in the github post are from last year and wanted to check if anything has changed.
Can you please provide clarity if a .NET version of the Elektron SDK will be available?
Thanks

Hi,
Trying to contribute directly without TREP.
Thanks

ok - thanks for that. Just wanted to check - as you had reported an apparently TREP related error previously on here. I was wondering if you were a TREP user - as you could have used Websocket API via TREP. I will check with the TRCC team - but I don't believe TRCC supports direct Websocket.

The TRCC team have confirmed that whilst they hope to offer a direct Websocket interface in the future, the only option you have right now is Elektron SDK Java & C++.
