What does it mean when a deal is Tranche Primary?

Hello, I am downloading deals, one of the fields that I use is the following: 'TR.NISdcPackageNumber.IsTranchePrimary'. I was wondering what does it mean when the tranche is primary (T).

Does primary refer to the market where the tranche is commercialized, so the ones that are not primary would be registered when the former primaries are commercialized in secondary markets, or simply it is highlighting the main tranche in the package of deals?

    hi @DANIELAVI ,

    This forum is more for
programming-type queries, rather than content queries. I would recommend you to
contact the Eikon support team directly via MyRefinitiv to clarify the field and its parameter.
That way a content specialist can work closely with you to find a way to get
    the required data.

However, I found that case 11348392 has been submitted by you regarding this query, the content specialist is going to contact you soon for the clarification.

    Hope this could help.

Case 11348392 is closed with the following resolution:

1, TR.NISdcPackageNumber.IsTranchePrimary is simply with True/ False indicating if it's the main tranche in the package of deal, you can also use item TR.NIIsMainTranche (Main Tranche within Package flag) for the same data.

2, most countries doesn't report stock foreign ownership percentage directly, as an alternative, please find attached example calculate the foreign ownership percentage total % shares minus domestic % shares using item TR.PctOfSharesOutHeld. You can input RICs from highlighted cells in column B, and results will be pulled from column D.
