    VIP = virtual IP So in BigIP I might create a VIP for my 4 web servers. The VIP might have an address like
    mycoolwebsite.com. When you hit
    mycoolwebsite.com, BigIP will load balance between my 4 web servers, presuming all 4 are up and running, and not in a drain state.

    BigIP will automatically mark any server out that stops responding. You can remove a server from service by "draining" it. This allows you to perform maintenance and other work without disrupting users.
