SxS API connection fails

When trying to do a handshake with Side-by-side API using postman, my connection request times out with 'Could not get any response' message. How do I fix this?

    Try the following:

    1. In the Internet Explorer or Google Chrome go to the Internet Options menu;
    2. Select Connections > LAN settings
    3. Check if 'bypass proxy server for local addresses', apply and try again
