Coherence Session In Website

While working with the Search module team, I was told that when our user signs off, the proxy Coherence session on Website stays while the session in the Coherence servers are terminated. The problem occurs when the user sign on again, the proxy Coherence session in Website is reused but that session in Coherence server is no longer available. Is there way to make sure that the proxy Coherence session is terminated when the user logs off? Thanks.

What do you mean by proxy Coherence session? UDS is what controls when a user is signed on or off and website will call them when the user hits the sign off button manually, or when the Reaper background process has determined that the user is inactive. I don't think Coherence in Website is used for session values (thought I may be incorrect)

Website does use Coherence for saving the WebSession info. This is cleaned up and the Web_SessionId cookie is deleted when the session is ended. There is the UDS session as well but this too is cleaned up (pending any outstanding deliveries) and the Co_SessionToken deleted. So I'm not clear on what you are referring to when you say the proxy Coherence session.

The error message is: "No search state found in Coherence for search guid: i0acc073e000001471c9a7019173208c9" When the user signs in again and repeats the same search before he/she logged off, the previous search guid is returned but that guid is not found in Coherence anymore.

And do you mean the user is running a search from their history after they have signed off and back on? From my understanding, the history item stores the coherence guid for the search state. When the history item is selected after the user logs off and back on, search looks for the search state in coherence, finds that it is missing, then re-runs the search based on the information in the history memento.
