Difference between xx.int.xxx and xx.erf.xx.

What is the difference for hosts behind .erf. sub domain and .int. subdomain ? like
home.int.thomsonreuters.com and
home.eft.thomsonreuters.com ? Does it matter what server is behind the DNS (windows vs Linux) ?

.erf I believe typically refers to resources within the Active Directory world. .int is the standard DNS prefix for internal accessible servers Neither should be accessible externally. Don't think the OS really matters More documentation at
